Halloween Tea Fun Finds At Davids Tea

Karen here and today I am talking about the fun Halloween Themed Teas that Davids Tea has this year.  Davids does a good job of making each holiday so much fun and brings the flavors of the season in with each event. I loved the Davids book of Spells! This is  a six tea sampler that includes such fun named teas as Witches Brew, Pumpkin Chai and Stormy night. This sampler is priced at $20 and can be viewed by clicking here.

For those with a slightly higher Halloween Tea budget I loved this Haunted Castle set. Mug and tea included for $38 Click here for the site listing.
Stormy Night Haunted Mug changes color as the tea steeps!

New Tea Exploration with Davids Teas

Now that I'm more "into" teas, I love looking at new tea types and eagerly buy more and different varieties. While I buy a lot of fine tea, pure camellia sinensis from tea estates, I also enjoy fun flavoured teas and tisanes. I truly believe you can love it all!

While looking through my timeline on Facebook I saw an ad for Davids Teas. Yes, Big Brother knows I'm a tea lover. If you read this blog, you know that Karen is a huge fan of Davids Teas, which is local to her, and has written several reviews. So I clicked on the link and was brought to their Honeycrisp Apple tea. The temperatures here are just starting to cool and I'm so looking forward to autumn, my favorite time of year.

From their website:

"Is there any activity more whole heartedly autumnal than apple picking? Not that we can think of. And when it comes to apples, the Honeycrisp is king. Juicy, sweet and full of flavour, it’s a fall treat we look forward to every year. And this refreshing, fruit-packed tea is just like biting into a fresh Honeycrisp straight off the tree. Whether you drink it straight up or spike it with a splash of bourbon, it’s the perfect way to bring the orchard home. Oh honey!"

OK, they had me at "spike it with a splash of bourbon"!

While Davids is a Canadian tea company, they do ship to all of North America, so I'm in luck. And, to get free shipping I plan on ordering more than just the Honeycrisp Apple. Perhaps some Pom Cider, keeping with that fall apple theme. I love grapes...and it is harvest time, so maybe some Grape Freeze. Or perhaps English Toffee...made with Pu'eh? That will probably make it in the basket. A more traditional tea, for me at any rate is the Wild Black Yunnan, no funky flavours here. And how could I possibly not try their Lapsang Souchong Star?

Do you order teas online? Have you tried Davids Teas? Are you adventurous when it comes to teas, or are you a purist?

Davids Cotton Candy Tea & A Sweet Silicone Tea Infuser!

Karen here and today I am sharing a fun flavored rooibos tea called Cotton Candy from Davids Tea and a lolly-pop tea infuser I found and bought on Ebay. Together these make a very sweet summer treat!
These little infusers are very inexpensive and would make a wonderful shower or tea party favor! Click here to view the ebay listing for these inexpensive  I paid just under $1 for mine.
The top of the lolly pop easily removes for you to put your 1 tsp of loose leaf tea in, then top with the stick and it is ready to steep in the cup or mug of your choice.

I discovered Cotton Candy tea last summer at Davids Tea. This is really a tisane made up of Rooibos, sprinkles  of cotton candy and hazelnuts.

It is lovely hot but even better cool and very sweet. It is the most favorite tea of a few of my nieces from our tea parties last summer.

A wonderful treat for an adult and a great tea to serve at a children's tea party!
This is one of Davids Teas summer teas so if you think you might want to try it I would recommend ordering it sooner rather then later to avoid missing out!

A Summer Sweet Treat Mate Tea From Davids Tea, Chocolate Covered Banana

Karen here and I recently treated myself to a new tea from Davids Tea, a chain of tea shops near where I live. This one is a Mate Tea called Chocolate Covered Banana and it really tastes as good as it sounds and smells. I often buy tea and then get it home brew it and it doesn't taste like it smells but this one does!

This tea I was warned is classified as a "stimulant" by the tea company for its caffeine content and was recommended to drink in the morning. There is no way I could drink and enjoy this tea first thing in the morning. It is flavored like a dessert tea and one I would have in the early to late afternoon. The flavors are so intense that it actually will satisfy your sweet tooth. This tea reminded me of the perfect banana split and was exactly as I hoped it would be.
Offered on line at Davids Tea is currently priced at $7.98 per 100 grms. Click here for the link to Davids Tea.

New From Davids Tea For Easter!

Karen here and this week Davids Tea has brought out their Spring and Easter line, I could not be more excited! I love the pastel colors of Easter and the food, for me it is like Christmas only with way less stress, more chocolate and great food. Last year I got the three pack of tea Easter eggs that look like little chicks. This year still cute and very inviting!

Last years eggs had little faces this years eggs have sprinkle polka dots! Love them!
They look pretty darn cute!
The blue egg has Chocolate Macaron Black tea, the pink has Birthday Cake flavored Rooibos, the orange one is filled with Banana Nut Bread Herbal Tea.
I am really thrilled to see a grown up Easter treat for me! They have a Salted Caramel Black Tea infused Belgian Chocolate Bunny and a white chocolate version as well! I do believe I need to stop in this weekend and stock up!
You can find Davids Tea almost anywhere here in Canada, I live about ten minutes from two different stores. You can also order on line. Check out Davids Tea on line in Canada or the USA by clicking here.
